The Image Mill Revealed follows the last three months’ preparation of that impressionistic epic of a show, The Image Mill, created for Quebec City’s 400th anniversary. To build this monumental historical panorama blending different genres, a top-notch team of talented and creative young people were invited to achieve something very special, with virtuosity and ingenuity combining to relate 400 years of Quebec City history. Meeting the challenge is none other than the celebrated theatre director Robert Lepage. The film’s co-directors are Mariano Franco and Marie Belzil, and since the latter is also a member of the Ex Machina team, we get a true insider’s point of view. As the project unfolds, its amazing scope and the valuable work of each team member become apparent. In the nerve centre of the project, the artists hone their craft, while Lepage speaks of his methods, explains his vision and fine-tunes his project. The Image Mill Revealed will have you on the edge of your seat: The countdown has begun – the premiere of this one-of-a-kind artistic adventure is in 75 days!
